Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Fastaar ("we", "us") collects when you use our platform, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email, phone number, and business details you provide when registering.
- Payment SMS content: confirmation SMS text forwarded by the Fastaar Android app, used only to verify customer payments.
- Transaction data: payment links, invoices, and transaction records created through your account.
- Usage data: log data such as IP address and device information, used for security and troubleshooting.
2. How we use your information
We use the information above to operate the Service — verifying payments, activating subscriptions, sending account notifications (email and SMS), preventing fraud, and providing customer support. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. SMS content handling
The Fastaar Android app requests the RECEIVE_SMS Android permission for one purpose
only: automatically verifying customer payments. This is core, essential functionality of the app —
without it, payments cannot be confirmed automatically and the app has no other use.
- What is read: only messages from the specific sender IDs configured on your account's active payment methods (e.g. "bKash", "Nagad") — other SMS on the device are never inspected, read, or stored.
- What is collected: the sender ID, full message text, and received timestamp of each matching SMS.
- How it's used: the message is parsed to extract the transaction ID, amount, and sender number, matched against your pending payments, and discarded from active processing once matched (or marked unmatched). We do not use SMS content for advertising, profiling, analytics unrelated to payment verification, or any purpose beyond confirming the specific transaction it relates to.
- Retention: raw SMS logs are kept for up to 90 days for troubleshooting and dispute resolution, then automatically deleted; access before then is restricted to authorized support staff. Deleting the raw log never affects the underlying transaction record, which is kept as part of your account's payment history.
- Your control: unpairing the device (from the app or your merchant dashboard) immediately stops all SMS access; the permission can also be revoked at any time from Android's app settings.
4. Data sharing
We share information with service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g. SMS gateway providers, hosting infrastructure), only to the extent necessary to provide the Service. We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. Data retention
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations.
6. Your choices
You can update your account details at any time from your profile settings, or request account deletion by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required by law.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page.
